You sit up, looking about the room you occupy. The room is empty aside from one bed pushed into the corner, and a tacky orange rug on the ceiling. Tassles hang from the frayed corners. A window is set into the floor, where you can clearly see a black sky. An upside down doggy door sits in the exact centre of the wall. Nothing strikes you as particularly bizarre about the room. It feels familiar.
You can barely make out a face peeking in through the doggy door.

A man stands at the door, beaming at you. He is dressed almost entirely in white, with small hints of gold. The sleeves of his sweater are far (far) too long. He wears a sash covered with a variety of buttons, all with different images of people and things. Smaller portraits cover his sweater. You vaguely recognize some of the people.
"Swell. This is just swell! I was hoping to meet you. Oh, this is just swell!"
[['That's nice.'|Thats nice Maverick]]
"It sure is a mess in here, isn't it?"
Tula leads you down the hall, greeting individuals walking above you on the ceiling, sitting on couches planted firmly on the wall, noses in books and standing stone-still. You notice the individuals are grouped by colours, teal, dark blue, and dull green. You can not find any pattern among the groupings.
You stop before a large door. Tula knocks and steps back, waiting. After a moment, a hand waves you through. You step in to an elegant, clean room. Everything matches the theme of gold and white. A tall bald man stands in the centre of the room, dressed in a brilliant white shirt and pants, adorned with nothing but one shimmering gold button. He speaks in a gravelly, eerie voice.

[['Not yet.'|Wait]]
"I'll simply say I lost some things in the shuffle that took place up here. The whole world is in shambles, as I'm sure you can see."
Tula checks a makeshift watch on her wrist - a pocketwatch tied around her wrist with the chain.
"Now, I believe it is time to head out, yes?"
[[Follow Tula.|Meet Overseer]]
You wander down an elegant, wide hall. Individuals are scattered around the room, some entranced by a book, some talking in small groups, others just transfixed on some point in the distance. They're all grouped by a colour: teal, dark blue, and green. There does not seem to be any significance to the groupings.
You stop at a large door.

[['Where am I?'|Maverick where am I]]
The man steps back as the wall swings out before you. He dusts you off with his sleeves - flicks the dust off, more like - and steps back. You follow him into the next room.
A great hall opens up before you, immaculate, white, and clean. People saunter by on the ceiling and walls, some conversing, some with their noses trapped in books, others staring at some fixed point in the distance. You notice everyone is grouped by a colour. The people talking are dressed in a mostly teal, the ones reading in a dark blue, the rest in a flat green.
"We've very much to talk about, dear $name, and very little time. I am only partially saying that to fulfill a cliche requirement to our little story. Now, where to begin..."

You follow Maverick to a busy fleamarket. Shady characters bustle by, carrying buckets full of various items. Maverick scoops up a bucket from a small girl, taking out a little gold button and pinning it to his shoulder before returning the bucket.
